Members of Nexa Credit Union are advised to exercise extreme caution online when approached by individuals or entities soliciting funds for investment opportunities that appear unverified or offering very high returns that seem “too good to be true.”

It has come to our attention that individuals posing as investment promoters have been:

• Advertising investment opportunities to the public,
• Collecting funds under the guise of business growth or returns,
• Issuing returns on investment for a period to the investor, so the investor continues to invest more regularly
• Eventually closing the operations of the company shortly after receiving “investments”, and
• Becoming unreachable once a large amount of funds is collected.

Some of these individuals and associated entities are not authorised, and “investors” have reported a loss of communication and an inability to recover their funds.

To Protect Yourself:

• Seek Safe Investment Opportunities
• Verify that the company or promoter is legally registered and licensed
• Request official documentation and independently confirm its validity
• Avoid transferring funds unless proper contracts and regulatory approvals are in place
• Report suspicious investment solicitations to the relevant authorities
