Nexa Credit Union is excited to reaffirm its dedication to education by continuing the CPEA Grant Program, which this year will provide financial support to over 107 students with grants of $300 each. Of this amount, $250 is earmarked for back-to-school expenses, while $50 will be deposited into a Smart Saver account at Nexa to help them on their savings journey.
Since its inception in 2005, the CPEA Grant Program has played a vital role in easing the transition to secondary school by alleviating financial pressures and fostering smart savings habits. This program embodies Nexa’s core value of ‘people helping people,’ demonstrating our commitment to uplifting our community and investing in the future of our members.

Mrs. Retesha Smith-Boyd, General Manager of Nexa Credit Union stated “Nexa remains committed to helping families and individuals succeed. Supporting education is a key part of our mission, and we are proud to continue empowering young minds through our contributions.”
Complementing our CPEA grants, Nexa Credit Union offers annual financial assistance to first-year students at T.A. Marryshow Community College, awarded according to financial need and academic performance. These opportunities are open to all first-year students, underscoring our commitment to advancing educational access for both members and non-members.
