Nexa Credit Union, in collaboration with the Grenada Union of Teachers (GUT), is proud to announce its continued commitment to student development and sportsmanship as the title sponsor of the 2025 Nexa Credit Union-GUT Primary Schools’ Games. Now in its second year, this partnership underscores Nexa’s dedication to fostering the next generation of athletes while strengthening community spirit through sports.
The sponsorship, which began on February 1, 2024, extends for three years and provides an annual grant to ensure the Games’ success. The highly anticipated branch-level meets will commence in February 2025, culminating in an electrifying two-day national finale at the Dr. Kirani James Athletic Stadium.

Due to the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, Carriacou and Petite Martinique will not hold a branch-level game this year but will participate in the finals, which will be held in Grenada.
After the branch-level games are completed, the teams will proceed to the Kirani James Athletic Stadium over two days for the finals on April 2nd and 3rd, 2025.
The partnership between Nexa and Grenada Union of Teachers signifies a substantial step forward in promoting sports and student development in Grenada and both entities are enthusiastic about the positive impact this initiative will have on the community.

In remarks made during the press launch on February 18th, 2025, Mr. Jude Bartholomew, President General of the Grenada Union of Teachers, expressed gratitude to Nexa for their commitment to building the nation’s future through sports.
