
Nexa Credit Union Limited and the Grenada Union of Teachers are pleased to announce a new partnership to support and promote students’ development through sports in the State of Grenada as the title sponsor of the upcoming Nexa Credit Union-GUT Primary Schools’ Games.
The sponsorship period commenced on February 1st, 2024, and will continue for a period of three years in the form of an annual grant to aid in the successful execution of the Games, which are held annually.
The branch-level meets will be held in February on the dates below, followed by a two-day finale of the games on the 6th and 7th of March 2024.

The partnership represents a significant step in promoting sports and student development in Grenada, and both Nexa Credit Union and the Grenada Union of Teachers are excited about the positive impact it will have on the community.
Mrs. Retesha Smith-Boyd, General Manager of Nexa Credit Union, expressed, “We are pleased to collaborate with the Grenada Union Teachers to facilitate the Primary School Games. Our partnership aims to positively impact the sustained development of our students’ athletic talent, thereby investing in the future.”
In remarks at the press launch on February 5th, Mr. Jude Bartholomew, President General of the Grenada Union of Teachers extended gratitude to Nexa for answering the call and making a commitment to building the nation’s future. He went on to add that the sponsorship will be used to execute the games on the branch level in Grenada Carriacou & Petite Martinique as well as the National level.
Collectively, Nexa Credit Union and The Grenada Union of Teachers look forward to the successful commencement of this partnership and the positive impact it will have on the students and community.
